WOW!!! I just published my first book.

I just achieved one of my goals in life. When I was five, I told my cousin that I would one day write a book. She was about ten years older and just smiled and said, “Sure you will Chad.” She was not being mean spirited or demeaning. She just did not understand how serious I was. This is a big deal for me. In 8th grade I would fake not feeling well to avoid spelling tests. I was terrified to read aloud in class. I had a mortal fear that a teacher would call on me randomly in class to read a part of text. Such is the life of the dyslexic person.

Well, this dyslexic person just published his first book!!!

Are there errors in it? There better be. My wife, Kate, looked it over for me, but such a task is rather daunting. After awhile it becomes so burdensome editing text that doesn’t make sense to the non-dyslexic. There are massive syntax errors, many misspellings, reversed double vowels, and the ubiquitous dropping of “Rs” from words like your. I wanted this book to be somewhat raw but readable for all of the “normal” readers out there.

This text was originally posted on my blog; however, WordPress kept giving many people error messages when they would try to download it. I finally removed the file and sent it off to Amazon for publishing. I was surprised at how easy the process was to publish a book. Within an hour, all of my information was entered, the book was uploaded, a cover was designed, and it was approved. I am so grateful for this opportunity to go through this process now, because I have been working on a much longer book for over two years. I have nearly completed it and was dreading the process of getting it published. I know what to expect and am ready to get book number two published.

I encourage you to go to Amazon and get this book today! I had to set a price for it. I chose the lowest Amazon would allow. It is only $2.99 and 100% of the profits go to my continued mission work. If you do buy it, please rate it as high as you feel it deserves and leave a review. You can purchase it at:

My goal is to sell 100 books by June 15th. Please help me make that happen. If you don’t have a Kindle, you can read it on your IPad with the Kindle app. You have to buy it online first and then you can download it to your app. You can also read it on any computer! I know many of you are committed paper book readers. Have a little mercy on me and give this digital version a try.

After you read it, I welcome your thoughts, comments, or questions.

I hope to see you next week at the office!

Chad
